Winchester Man Returns from England, Discovers $1K in Fraudulent Purchases

At 11:29 a.m. June 28, a person visited the police station to report unauthorized withdrawals from his bank account, according to a police report. After visiting England, a Winchester man reportedly returned home to find that three withdrawals totaling nearly $1,100 were made using his Citizens Bank checking account.

8:39 a.m.: Police responded to a three-vehicle accident in the area of Bacon, Church and Fletcher Streets, according to a police report. One vehicle was towed from the scene, and no transports reported. 

9:31 a.m.: Police called to Hollywood Road on a report of minor vandalism to a decorative light post, according to a police report. The housing portion of the post was found broken off, according to the report. The homeowner estimated the value of the post at $1,000, the report adds.

7 p.m.: Police called to the intersection of Johnson Road and Ridge Street for a report of a two-vehicle accident, according to a police report. No tows or transports reported.
