Winchester Police Log: Arlington Man Accused of Drunk Driving

Arlington Man Accused of Drunk Driving

At 6:05 p.m. March 3, Winchester Police responded conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Rangeley Road and Church Street. Evan Antonucci, 23, of 90 Thesda Road, Arlington, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehice under the influence of intoxicating liquor, marked lanes violation and speeding. The arrest came after Antonucci allegedly was unable to successfully complete sobriety tests, according to police. Antonucci was released on personal recognizance, according to police.

March 1

11:35 a.m.: Police responded to Wendell Street for a report of possible identity fraud. The victim claimed that he received a text message from his cell phone provider, AT&T, about some of his account information that had changed, according to a police. An AT&T representative informed the Winchester man that his address had been changed to one in Lawrence, Mass. and an email address had been added to his account but they would not tell him what the new email address was, according to police. The AT&T representative told the victim that his social security number must have been compromised, according to police. The victim added a security passcode to his account to prevent any future changes to his account except for those authorized by him, according to police.

3:20 p.m.: Police called to Forest Street for a report of minor vandalism. The caller reported that he found his two driveway/sidewalk lights had been vandalized, according to police. The lights, which are low-voltage halogens, have a copper half-shield cover which the victim found laying on the ground, according to police. The lights were mounted to a stonewall along the sidewalk in front of his house, according to police. The man called the DPW to see if a plow might have done the damage, but that was not the case, according to police. The victim said he likely could do the repairs himself by welding the copper shield to the backing, according to police.
