Winchester Police Release Image of Bank Robbery Suspect

The Winchester PD are still looking for information about the robbery,

On Tuesday, the at 7 Church St. was robbed.

According to Lt. Peter MacDonnell of the , at 3:28 p.m. Tuesday police were alerted by a teller alarm at Soveriegn Bank. Winchester police responded to the alarm and learned a robbery had taken place.

According to MacDonnell, the suspect handed a note to a teller that read "Give me all you cash. Hurry up." The teller complied and the man fled, with the note, in an unknown vehicle in an unknown direction. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, MacDonnell said.

Police released images of the suspect taken from video surveillance.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, about five-feet, six-inches tall with a thin build. Suspect was wearing black sweatpants, a gray hooded sweatshirt, white sneakers, black gloves and a black Red Sox baseball cap.

MacDonnell said that because there is currently no information on the vehicle or the direction in which the suspect fled, the police will most likely need public assistance in finding the suspect.

"If we are going to resolve this it will come from information provided by the public," MacDonnell said.
