Free Forum on Unemployment Issues

State Sen. Patricia Jehlen will host a free informational forum to address issues facing those who are unemployed, underemployed or job-hunting, especially job seekers over 50, Monday, Nov. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the West Medford Community Center at 111 Arlington St. in Medford.

The event was created in response to the many constituents seeking help with their unemployment claims, health care benefits while unemployed, and job searches. The program and Q&A will feature staff from the Department of Unemployment Assistance's Medical Security Plan, Regional Call Center, Division of Career Service (North Metro Region) and Constituent Services. Other presenters include Operation A.B.L.E for workers over 50, the Career Place, the Career Source, Greater Boston Legal Service — Employment Unit and the Commonwealth Connector, the state's health insurance agency.

Admission is free and open to the public. To RSVP or for more information, call Jehlen's office at 617-722-1578 or e-mail patsconstituents@gmail.com.
