In 2006, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) began cleaning up the southwest portion of the Village at Winning Farm landfill property by excavating land, and removing and disposing of the waste. The Winning Farm Dumping Ground, located at 462 Lexington St. in Woburn was also cleaned up.

Now that the DEP has signed off on the completion of the clean-up program, Winchester Town Meeting has the opportunity to buy the 84,000 square feet of land for $1.
