Town Meeting Approves Parking Pay Stations at Wedgemere Station

Town Meeting voted to raise and appropriate funds for the Parking Meter Fun, which calls for the installation and maintenance of parking meters at the Wedgemere and Aberjona Parking Lots.

As part of the Town’s overhaul of the parking space inventory in and around town center, Town Manager Richard Howard proposed that the town enter a trial agreement with the Department of Conservation and Recreation to apply daily parking fees at the Wedgemere Train Station.

After the trial period, the Town can assess whether or not they wish to enter a permanent agreement with the DCR. The estimated annual expenses and revenues will be budgeted together with all departmental activity beginning in fiscal year 2015.
