Tuesday's Election Information

Here's a look at where the polling places are around town.

School isn't even a week old, but a number of the institutions around Winchester will be busy holding another event – elections.

Today is Election Day, and the polls will be up long enough for you to cast your vote – from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. And if you are looking to vote in Tuesday's primaries, but aren't sure where to go, here's a quick guide that will help you out:

If you live in the little trio of streets that forms a triangle around Muraco School – Cross, Main and Washington Street, then you are either in Precinct 1 or 2 and will be voting at the Muraco School.

Precincts 3 and 4 will be heading over to McCall Middle School to cast their vote. That's the area around the Town Center. If you live around Church Street, but north of Dix Street and around the Parish of the Epiphany then you are in Precinct 3. If you live near Main Street and the Aberjona River, then that's Precinct 3 and you'll be heading over to the middle school as well.

Precincts 5 and 6 will get to swing by Vinson-Owen for their voting. That polling place is easy enough to figure out, as it's the area that consists of Johnson Road, Ridge Street and all those roads right near the school at the edge of town.

The last two Precincts – 7 and 8 – will call the gymnasium at the Lynch School their polling place. Precinct 7 is also along Church Street, but south of the Epiphany, heading towards Main Street. If you continue along Main Street towards the Town Pantry, then that's Precinct 8. Both precincts will head to Lynch.
