The new chair of the Board of Selectmen, Forrest Fontana, just announced Mark Twogood has been offered and accepted the position of .
Twogood has accepted the position and offered the position of Assistant Town Manager to Mary Ellen Lannon, which she accepted.
Contractual terms still need to be agreed upon.

Twogood has been the Assistant Town Manager and Lannon was the Acting Town Manager since last June when the board decided not to renew the contract of former Town Manager and current Brookline Town Administrator, Mel Kleckner.
While working as Acting Town Manager, Lannon was also continuing her role as Town Clerk.
