Winchester Retirees Oppose Proposed Health Insurance Premium Increase

A warrant article at Town Meeting looks to postpone increase in health insurance premiums.

Last week, the Winchester Board of Selectmen voted in favor of raising retirees health insurance to as much as 50 percent of the premium, beginning in July, reported the Boston Globe.

A warrant article for the annual spring Town Meeting on Monday looks to have a postponement of the increase, and asks for a study of alternative solutions.

Winchester Town Meeting is at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, in the Winchester High School auditorium.
