Impressionism

Presented by ArtMatters

Those of us who have heard ArtMatters presentations in the past know how wonderful they have been. We have heard about how Art Makes Us Human, about Women Artists and most recently about the life of Pablo Picasso. The presentations are lively and provocative, keeping us talking long afterwards. There is a lively discussion time after the presentation ends and everyone always has a terrific time.

Impressionism

The Impressionists, painters of light, painters of nature, and painters of human nature, changed the way the whole world looked at art. Like a stone dropped into a still pond, the ripples from this revolutionary style of painting spread out, influencing a whole new generation of artists. Please join us for a close look at many of the paintings that moved the world into the modern era. We are sure to learn new and surprising information about the artists and their times as well as about their works.

Coffee and cookies will be available at 10:00 a.m. as usual, for a social half-hour before the presentation. Please join us.
