MBTA Comes to the Jenks Center

On Wednesday, July 13, from 1 - 3 p.m., MBTA staff will be on hand at the Jenks Center to issue MBTA Senior and Transportation Access Pass (T.A.P.’s) Charlie Cards. Staff will also be available at this time to answer any questions regarding the MBTA’s automated fare collection system. New Senior Charlie Card IDs will be processed for customers exchanging their expired Senior IDs and to first -time senior customers (65+ with proof of age). The permanent ones will be mailed to you. Applications for the MBTA Transportation Pass (T.A.P.), Charlie Card, issued to persons with a qualifying disability, will also be available. These cards not only provide reduced fares, but they serve as a legal ID for anyone who does not have a license. Many seniors may want to get one for identification purposes, even if they don’t ride the MBTA. There is no charge.
