The League of Women Voters Runs Informational Forum

Who does what in Winchester’s town government? There isn’t a mayor but there is a town manager. There are committees and town meeting members. But how do all the pieces fit together? Where do you begin navigating the intricate system?  What part can you play? How does your voice get heard?

To find answers to these questions the League of Women Voters will hold an informational event dubbed “Town Government 101.”  There will be group discussions in Town Hall Auditorium with representatives from various town committees and from executive management from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in Town Hall Auditorium on November 20.

Each division of government will have its own seating area. Those in attendance will rotate to the areas as their interests move them once each division has given a 3-5 minute overview of their province of responsibility. A League moderator will help manage the questions and answers sessions at each grouping.
