VIDEO: Lynch Students Defeat Teachers in Basketball Game
In Lynch's fourth annual fifth graders vs. teachers basketball game, the students were able to defeat the teachers.
The gym was filled with hundreds of students, administration and parents, all cheering on the fourth annual teachers vs students basketball game. Pizza, water, ice cream, tee-shirts and a few other treats were sold along side the $5 admission fee (or $15 per family) to support the fifth graders end-of-year graduation and celebrations, including the year book and the departing the final field trip.
The event was coordinated by Volunteer Jennifer Fondis and Principal Christine Kelley.
“It's a great way to bring student and staff together. Teachers love it and the kids look forward to beating the teachers all year. This year we didn't even have to let the kids win, they were all over us,” Kelley said.

The fifth graders led 32-22 at halftime, and things didn't get any better for the faculty as the game went on. The fifth graded ended up winning, 60-50.
The game wasn't the only entertainment at this showdown. At halftime, students and teachers came together to perform a dance routine to a number of Michael Jackson classics like Beat It and Thriller.
