Winchester Scholarship Foundation Awards 103 Scholarships

The Winchester Scholarship Foundation has awarded approximately $2 million to local students.

The Winchester Scholarship Foundation gave $318,000 in scholarships to 96 Winchester students in 2012.

During the last five years WSF awarded close to $2 million in scholarships.

“The need for scholarships remained strong in 2012” said Nancy Kinton, WSF President.  “Since 1945 WSF has helped bridge the financial gap between higher education costs and a families’ ability to pay. As college costs continue to rise and our economy continues its slow recovery, help is needed now more than ever. The burden on financially-strapped families is staggering. A donation to WSF is a prudent investment in developing tomorrow’s leaders.”
