Winchester Girls' Hoops Fall to Belmont
The Winchester High School girls' basketball team lost 56-38 to Belmont Tuesday in Belmont.
Winchester High School girls' basketball could not overcome Belmont High's domination under the basket and lost their Middlesex League matchup to the Marauders 56-38 Tuesday in Belmont.
Belmont's defense took senior guard Elise Testa out of the game resulting in only three points for the Winchester team leader. Junior forward Olivia Gaither led the Sachem's attack with 10 points followed by fellow junior Deidrie Macrorie and co-captain senior guard Catherine Pitts each with seven points.
