El Hogar 5K Walkathon and 30K Bikeathon

Put on your sneakers or grab your bike and join us for the 3rd Annual El Hogar Walkathon (and Bikeathon- new this year!) on October 23, 2011 starting at 2 pm at the Winchester Town Common. This 5K Walkathon/ 30K Bikeathon is a fun community event that raises needed funds to support the truly life saving work of El Hogar Projects, home to 250 abandoned, orphaned, and hopelessly poor children in Honduras. El Hogar rescues children from a life of extreme poverty and desperation on the streets of Honduras and enables them to break the cycle of poverty and unemployment by providing them with a home, a nurturing environment, education and a marketable trade.
