One month after the bombings, the sisters, along with an uncle, of injured Stoneham natives and brothers JP and Paul Norden will walk the 26.2 mile Boston Marathon route Wednesday in support of their brothers.

One month after the bombings, the sisters, along with an uncle, of injured Stoneham natives and brothers JP and Paul Norden will walk the 26.2 mile Boston Marathon route Wednesday in support of their brothers, according to a CBS Boston report.

Each brother, who were reunited at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, lost a leg, suffered burns and shrapnel wounds during the attack. To honor their injured brothers, Colleen and Caitlin, alongside their uncle, Peter Brown, were expected to start the walk at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Hopkinton, according to the report.

“In an effort to demonstrate our love, solidarity and encourage healing within our family, we intend to walk the twenty-six miles three-hundred and eighty-five yards to honor and pay tribute to the boys and as a bonus attempt to raise monies for the Norden Brothers Benefit Fund,” the family said in a statement. “It is our mission to respectfully seek $26 donations asking for a $1 a mile pledge from as many generous people as possible.”
