Town Day to Celebrate 31 Years

While this is the 31st consecutive Town Day, it started in 1974 and was revived again in 1982, according to the event website. It's now ran by a group of volunteers, the Winchester Town Day Committee.

The Winchester Town Committee released the following statement: "Based on the information currently available, we are planning to hold the event as scheduled. However, we will continue to monitor the forecasts. If they indicate a chance of significant rainfall, we will likely postpone the event until our rain date, which is the next day, Sunday, June 3rd. However, if a chance of showers is the general prediction, we will proceed on Saturday. Please make sure you are prepared for this possibility. We will have a very limited number of additional canopies available on Saturday." The decision will be made Friday night. We'll keep you updated on any cancellations.
