Tree of Lights Provides Local Newborns with First Book

The fundraiser benefits the Friends of Winchester Hospital's Read-to-Me Program.

Illuminate a tree light at  during the holiday season to honor someone you love or celebrate a special event.

All proceeds directly support the Friends of Winchester Hospital’s Read-to-Me Program, which gives a new story book to each baby born at Winchester Hospital to encourage reading to children.

The tree lighting ceremony, which includes a reading of the names and caroling, will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, in the lobby of Winchester Hospital, 41 Highland Ave. A reception will follow.

For information on participating in Tree of Lights through a tax-deductible gift, call Jillian Buttaro in Winchester Hospital’s Volunteer Services Department at 781-756-2625 or e-mail her at jbuttaro@winhosp.org. The deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 29.
