lol, this ended well, but really i know kids that age that have climbed on chairs unlocked doors andRead More gone out.. she was in the bathroom.. bb prob opened the door, went across to the place, maybe he has been there before, and got inside thru the prize door, wow this is like a real life "Baby's day out" all these grown ups and no one saw him either cross alone and go in and into the machine!!dang

Do you idiots even read the story or watch the video? ALL of the information is right at yourRead More fingertips and you STILL manage to be uninformed. You people have ZERO leverage to mock the parent in this story. Truly incredible

He's no hero. He violated the law and did it for his own self promotion.
Matthew April 16, 2014 at 11:43 am
No he did it because that useless trash magazine Rolling Stone tried to portray that scumbag kid asRead More a victim and a hero of some sorts. He wanted all to see the real scum that this piece of s*** communist puke really is. I applaude his choice to publish the pictures. Displinary action? Maybe? But a forced retirement over that situation? Absolutely not. Mass. State Police should be ashamed of themselves.

@ Mr Haggerty-- May I suggest that the extreme comparison you have made serves to damage yourRead More credibility on an issue that deserves serious attention. I understand your emotional involvement, but suggest that a more temperate approach would be more credible to the average reader. Thank you for the attachment of the letter to the Town of Falmouth. It appears that the town is taking reasonable action on the issues raised. Finally, because the wind turbines in Falmouth need noise abatement does not mean that such green energy efforts are a bad idea per se, or that the governor was wrong to pursue them.

As a former addict of pain medications I can say what gov Patrick did was good.. He understands howRead More drugs affect us negatively..it gives you a higher high than if you got away with arson in 2002, or escaping a woodchipper like Criss Angel... The courts are wrong about this..

@Kim Johnson. Not that it matters, but you have your facts wrong. President Barack Obama nominatedRead More Leonhart for the position of DEA Administrator on 2/2/2010. The issue here is people should be able to shop at a store without being followed or have the NSA track each word I am typing.
knee jerk April 15, 2014 at 10:15 pm
I'll do my shopping in either Lowe's or Wal-Mart's garden centers, at least for now, and only useRead More cash.

How broke are we you ask? Well we are 17trillion $ broke. Is that a lot of money? Well lets see. AllRead More single family homes combined in this country are worth about 16Trillion $. If none of us had a mortgage and everyone sold their home and gave the money to the gvmt we would still be broke. That's effin broke.

He did not have a "submachine gun", he had an ordinary pistol. (One way you can tell isRead More that there was no mention of an additional federal charge for illegally possessing one. Another way would be to Google Intertec 22, assuming you understand that a machine gun fires more than one round when you pull the trigger, and this one obviously does not.) This is just the media trying to hype up the story by inventing a machine gun where there was none. Isn't it a good enough story that some felon went nutcase with an illegally possessed stolen pistol?

This was out in my neck of the woods. All really great kids, college bound and starting their adultRead More lives. Having lost a child, I can say these families will mourn for as long as they live, and will have to find a "new normal" as EVERYTHING is changed for them now...I wish them strength, there is nothing quite like burying a child. Appreciated are the messages of respect and sympathy. It can be annoying to get news from areas other than your own, however the new Patch is doing things differently, and show no evidence of changing it back.....my best advice would be to ignore stories not in your area, and to write your editor directly, and share your comments with those who can make changes.

Kathleen I don't get the Massachusetts reference, having said that I think your about right.
century April 15, 2014 at 11:30 pm
Kathleen, your right. As for housing, the less number of homeless, the more grant money the city andRead More state receives for housing. It happens all the time in Pennsylvania. Free loaders like the crackheads mentioned in the story is why people who have legimate disabilities are judged as liars and have to fight for their rights.
DaveR April 16, 2014 at 10:52 am
I believe it was Gov. Dukakis that allowed the dopers and losers into the senior housing. Got toRead More love the blind faith voting mentality of Massachusetts.

It says Around Town but the headline is UTAH. Utah is not near Natick!! I think everyone should notRead More open an article on Patch unless they see their town's name in the headline. So If it doesn't say Natick, then we all know it is not LOCAL to the Natick Patch. The less clicks these Patch sites get, the fewer advertisers they will get and then perhaps they will realize if we want sensational news from across the country we'd go back to Patch's former owners AOL and the HuffPost! Those here from other Patch sites - I think you should do the same only click on articles that mention your community's name. No name. No click!

I am sad to learn of this. While I never shopped with them, I think they had wonderful stylishRead More quality clothing. I don't think high prices had anything to do with their closing. The retail business today is very difficult to be in. Retail prices should be on the high side for this type of product. People need to earn a living! I always hate to hear when a business closes.

: ( So very disappointing. Seeing all the sales they were offering was a tip. I used to buy fromRead More their catalog years ago and was happy to see them close to home. The young people of today are into styles unappealing to those of us who prefer the classic look, but lately could not find anything that cried "buy me" on the racks. There was a time that their clothes reeked of class......What happened?
steve forte April 16, 2014 at 07:44 am
What happened is even thou people thought nothing of paying $45 - $55 even $100 for a pair of jeansRead More in the 80's they want to buy em for $19 now. Try giving employees health ins when you are making $1 off of a pair of jeans. Good luck with that.

"But the GOP caucus did raise a fuss about the Democrats' move to exclude any debate aboutRead More certain local aid levels or welfare reform when the bill hits the floor April 28." Here in North Andover, one of the reasons some members of the school committee didn't support Republican Jim Lyons in the last election was that he "didn't support increased local aid". It appears that they were wrong (and the voters weren't fooled).

Ken B. April 14, 2014 at 06:01 pm
Of course you can't have amendments regarding welfare reform ! How embarrassing it would be to theRead More demo leadership for their majority to vote with the EBT crowd instead of the taxpayer. Wait until after the May deadline for filing to run when it's "safe" for them to keep the layabouts happy.
