The Ambrose Elementary School, which is led by Principal Lisa McManus, was named after longtime town engineer Howard…More Ambrose. The school believes in a certain set of core values. It values the individuality of the students and the teachers; it believes in having a strong sense of community and it's a school that values continuous learning and growth.
Ambrose believes in the Supportive Classroom Curriculum. This method has five basic concepts: belonging, trust, respect, sharing and responsibility. The school's mission is to aid each student in reaching their intellectual and personal potential, enabling them to become effective members of society.
Located adjacent to Ambrose Elementary School, this spacious park has plenty of activities for children to do. The…More children's playground, which is named after former Ambrose Principal, George Flynn, has slides, swings and a jungle gym to keep younger children entertained.
Across from the playground, you'll find a number of athletic fields, including a soccer, baseball and softball field. There is also a basketball court located behind the fields. The park is always in use, but luckily with the school's parking lot, there's plenty of space to park your car on the weekend.
