This was an exciting year for Winchester residents as a number of different restaurants and retail shops opened up around town. Here's a look at some of the top new businesses that opened its doors in 2010. Black Horse Tavern One of Winchester's newest restaurants has been credited with helping to revitalize the downtown area. The tavern, which opened last August, is owned and operated by a local couple. Kim Covino works as a real estate agent in the area and her husband, James Covino, is a police officer in town. The couple wanted to find a location to foster their dream. "My family has always wanted to open a restaurant," Kim Covino said. The restaurant is Winchester's first pub-style eatery.
