Boston Marathon Suspect Involved in Arlington Incident Last Summer

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had a run in with Arlington police last Fourth of July.

The Boston Marathon suspect currently hospitalized and in police custody was involved in an incident last Fourth of July on Paul Revere Road in Arlington, according to a police release. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, who has been charged in connection with last week’s bombing, appears to have been one of three males who was approached by police for drinking in a parked car in a “No Parking Zone.” Arlington Police Capt. Richard Flynn would neither confirm nor deny Tuesday that this was the specific incident referenced in the release. However, the incident is the only one from the July Fourth log that fits the description. Here are some of the stories making headlines in the Winchester region this week:  Arlington Nude Man Apprehended at East Arlington Bus Stop: A nude man at an MBTA bus stop in East Arlington was taken into custody by police early Sunday morning. Arlington police responded to the bus stop in front of Homewood Suites on Mass. Ave. at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of a nude white male. Upon arrival, officers found the man, who was completely naked, sitting on a concrete slab. The man told police that he had been walking around for a few hours in the buff (it was snowing early Sunday morning). He said he was not sure how he got to the bus stop but he thought he might have walked there from Somerville, according to police. Melrose City …

Winchester Resident Opens Business in Arlington

Winchester resident Bill Phaneuf opened Frames...with a history Jan. 17 at the former Jeans Dirt Cheap space in Arlington Center.

A Winchester resident recently opened a business at the former Jeans Dirt Cheap location in Arlington Center. Frames…with a history opened at 21 Mystic St., Arlington, one of the storefronts along the path to the right of the Cyrus E. Dallin Art Museum, Jan. 17, according to its owner Bill Phaneuf. Phaneuf, of Winchester, has made and sold picture frames, mirrors, small furniture and home décor accessories with antique and reclaimed wood for about five years at various art shows, craft fairs and artisan markets, most notably the SoWa Vintage Market every Sunday in Boston’s South End. The Arlington store, however, is his first retail spot. “It allows me to stay in one place and be available, be consistent,” he said Wednesday afternoon. …
