Bumble Bee Foods Recalls Some White Albacore and Chunk Light Tuna Products

The voluntary recall was issued March 6. These items were sold nationwide between Jan. 17 and Feb. 28.

The US Food and Drug Administration reports on its website that Bumble Bee Foods, LLC, has issued a voluntary recall on specific codes of 5-ounce Chunk White Albacore and Chunk Light Tuna products. The recall was issued on March 6 because the products do not meet the company’s standards for seal tightness. The products under this recall were distributed for retail sale nationwide between Jan. 17, and Feb. 28. Full details of the products in question can be found on the FDA website. RECALL: Pet Products Possibly Contaminated with Salmonella

A number of name brands are included in the recall.

The FDA announced a major recall of pet products that affects a number of brands. Kasel Associated Industries of Denver is voluntarily recalling all products manufactured at its Denver facility from April 20, 2012, to Sept. 19, 2012, because of possible Salmonella contamination. The brands included in the recall are Boots & Barkley, BIXBI, Nature’s Deli, Colorado Naturals, Petco, and Best Bully Stick items, according to the FDA. The FDA reported that Kasel has not received any reports of illnesses because of the possible contamination. Sunscreen Recalled After People Catch Fire

The recall includes UltraMist Sport, UltraMist Ultra Defense and UltraMist Kids.

Banana Boat sunscreen is being recalled after some of the products resulted in users catching fire, reported the Huffington Post. The voluntary recall includes UltraMist Sport, UltraMist Ultra Defense and UltraMist Kids. There have been five reports of people suffering burns after using the sunscreen in the past year, according to a spokesman of Energizer Holdings, which makes Banana Boat sunscreen. The company notified the FDA of the recall. Consumers can call 1-800-SAFESUN for more information.
