The one-year suspension is effective July 10, 2012, and will run through next year’s Fourth of July season. Dear Editor, Pyrotecnico has always upheld safety as our number one priority. A fireworks company that held displays in Winchester had its license suspended from the state Fire Marshal's Office after unexploded fireworks shells were left in Waltham. That company, Pennsylvania-based Pyrotecnico, also staged displays in Newton, Milford, Hingham, Westford, Sharon, Wilmington, Ayer and Marion, according to the Boston Globe. A city worker mowing a lawn in Waltham ran over an unexploded shell on July 9, causing it to explode, according to the Globe. The lawnmower protected the roker from injury. On Tuesday, July 10, an undetonated firework exploded in Stoughton when a landscaper went over it with a lawnmower when cutting the grass in the outfield of the Stoughton High baseball field. There were no injuries. A second …

The Fourth of July is right around the corner, and whether hosting company or celebrating elsewhere, now is the time to finish your garden with a pop, bang and wow of color. So leading up to the forth, take a quick walk through the gardens, review the initial design and look for plants that maybe just didn’t turn out as planned. Remember to take a holistic view of the garden. This is a personal paradise and notice what colors might still need to be added to achieve that individual haven. After review, pay a visit to the local greenhouse, nursery or garden center. At this time of year, most…
