Would it be Scott Brown? Congressmen Markey or Capuano? Tell us who you think should run.
The Washington Post is reporting that President Obama is considering appointing Massachusetts U.S. Sen. John Kerry as the Secretary of Defense. There was speculation Kerry would be the next Secretary of State. Either way Kerry's move to possibly become a member of Obama's cabinet will open up his current seat. Should he be appointed, a special election would be held to finish out Kerry's term, which expires in 2014. Conversation from the breakfast table this morning to the morning commute has everyone talking - who will run for Kerry's U.S. Senate seat if he's appointed? Could it be Scott Brown? Chair Bernanke said we cannot afford to continue spending, nor can a fragile economy support more taxes. IBM offered to help reduce Medicare fraud and abuse by $900 billion. To this day their warnings are ignored by the Obama administration. It’s time to stop the slogans and provide solutions necessary to avoid economic catastrophe. We need new leaders…

Markey challenges Obama to use strategic petroleum reserve.
Standing in front of the pumps at a Medford gas station Wednesday, Rep. Edward Markey, D-Mass., challenged President Barack Obama to deploy the federal strategic petroleum reserve to combat sky-rocketing crude oil prices. "The president should begin now to deploy the strategic petroleum reserve," said Markey, who represents the 7th District, which includes Winchester. "We have 730 million barrels of oil, if we are ever going to use it as a weapon to protect ourselves against Saudi Arabia, against Libya, against speculators, now is the time." Saudi Arabia has taken 800,000 barrels of crude oil per day off the global market, and Libya removed 1.2 million barrels, Markey said. Barrels of oil were trading for over $112 Wednesday on the New …
