SYFC Names 2012 Academic All-Americans

Congratulations to the Sachem Youth Football & Cheerleading program's Academic All-American team.

The Sachem Youth Football & Cheerleading program announced its 2012 Academic All-American Team during its Year End Party on Nov. 12. Student athletes in the program were evaluated and given a point grade based on their classroom effort and behavior over three marking periods during the 2012 fall season. Points could also be earned for extra work in the SYFC Study Hall and for any “Good News” reports presented to the coaching staff involving community service or outstanding efforts in the school community. The 2012 SYFC Academic All-Americans include: Mario DiBenedetto, Chris Ferrelli, Nate Johnston, Chase Krivickas, Alec Maserejian, Matt Malloy, Scott Murphy, Henry McDonough, Steven Osborne, Drew Peterson, Max Ward and Justin Yew. Students Display 2,500 Pumpkins

The Sachem Youth Football & Cheerleading program worked at the Second Congregational Church Pumpkin Patch.

Members of the 2012 Sachem Youth Football & Cheerleading program volunteered at the “Pumpkin Patch” located at the Second Congregational Church in Winchester on Saturday, Sept. 29. SYFC members helped unload and display nearly 2,500 pumpkins of all different sizes and shapes. They worked with other Winchester residents as part of their community service program.
