Town Hall was abuzz Wednesday night for the 10th annual Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence (WFEE) Trivia Bee. A few hundred people attended the community event which featured several rounds of trivia played by five 5th grade teams representing the local elementary schools as well as adult teams. There was a tie for first place between Lincoln and Lynch Elementary Schools, so they will be sharing the Trivia Bee Trophy this year. The Lincoln School team was made up of Adrienne Anderson, Joey Charchaflian and Henry Wheaton, while the Lynch School squad consisted of Venkat Rao, Michael Wentworth and Max Lu. The Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence is slated to host their 10th annual Trivia Bee on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at Winchester Town Hall.
Get your thinking caps ready, as the Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence's 10th annual Trivia Bee kicks off in early February at Winchester Town Hall, according to a WFEE press statement. The WFEE Trivia Bee is slated for Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, according to the statement. "The (Trivia) Bee is a community tradition that allows you to indulge your passion for minutia while raising money to benefit Winchester’s teachers and students," reads the statement. Seven teams of three people compete in each round, and the winners of each round will advance to the championship round, according to the statement. The Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence (WFEE) prepares for the club’s Ninth annual Trivia Bee. This year's bee will be held on Wed., Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Winchester Town Hall. Each team is comprised of three people, the entry fee is $300 and the entry form is available on line at www.wfee.org. All proceeds go to the Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence in support of classroom projects and teacher professional development. Fifth grade students from each of Winchester’s elementary schools will participate in Round One of the Bee. Admission to Town Hall is free.
