WHS Teams Open MIAA Tournament Play This Week

Winchester High School will begin play in their Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) tournaments this week, with the girls' hockey team playing Monday night, according to the MIAA website. In the North Division 2 tournament, the no. 21 ranked Winchester (10-9-1) girls' hockey squad takes on no. 12 ranked Burlington (11-7-0) at 8:10 p.m. Monday in Burlington. The winner advances to the second round to play no. 5 ranked Gardner (11-4-2). A time and location for the second-round tilt have yet to be determined.
