A 28-year-old Medford man was charged with unarmed robbery. According to Winchester Police, Michael J. Grande, 28, of Medford was charged with stealing $500 from Sovereign Bank in Winchester on Feb. 7. The town conducted a parking study, and according to the results, the Board of Selectmen and Planning Board were told that the lack of parking is hurting retail and restaurant sales and makes it difficult for clients to reach professional services. To combat those issues, the town is moving towards a parking management plan that would include pay stations around the town center and in the parking lots. It was named in the article’s “Swanky Town Smackdown” section that pitted some of the most popular towns in the Boston area up against each other. The prosecution is attempting to have its psychiatrist look at the medical files of the Winchester father accused of killing his family. Thomas Mortimer, IV, is charged with four counts of first-degree murder of his mother-in-law, Ellen Ragna Stone, 64; his wife, Laura Stone Mortimer, 41; his daughter, Charlotte Mortimer, 2; and his son, Thomas “Finn” Mortimer V, 4.
