Police Log: Motor Vehicle Accidents in Winchester

When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.] Two Motor Vehicle Accidents in Winchester Winchester Police recently responded to a pair of motor vehicle accidents. At 7:50 a.m. Feb. 22, police were called to the intersection of Johnson Road and Ridge Street on a report of a two-vehicle accident. No one was injured during the crash, and both vehicles were able to drive from the scene after sustaining only moderate damage, according to police. At 5 p.m. Feb. 23, police responded to the intersection of Washington and Main Streets for a report of a two-vehicle accident. No tows or transports logged. Feb. 21 Recent Police Logs

Winchester Man Arrested After Allegedly Punching Woman

A Winchester man was arrested in Arlington and charged with assault and battery.

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Wednesday, Sept. 12 Zhong Wang, 45, of Holland Street, Winchester, was arrested at about 8:25 p.m. Wednesday on Summer Street and charged with assault and battery. Wang allegedly punched a woman in the face four or five times during an altercation inside a residence. He told police that the woman tried to slap him before he hit her. Thursday, Sept. 13 Bryan C. Vernazza, 35, of April Lane, Lexington, was arrested at about 7:34 p.m. Thursday on Cedar Avenue and charged with felony breaking and entering, receiving stolen property and being in possession of a Class C substance. Police Logs for Tuesday, May 15

  7:17 a.m.: While the Winchester High School senior class conducted their annual bike ride through the town; one of the students drove a Go Kart. Officers pulled the student over and advised the student that this vehicle could not be operated on a public way because the Go Kart had no registration, no seat belt, no taillight or mirrors. The DPW towed the Go Kart to the station’s garage where it was secured. 7:31 a.m.: Vandalism reported at the intersection of Florence Street and Swanton Street. A GMC Silverado Pickup Truck had been keyed over night. Four deep scratches ran along the length of the driver’s side door. The driver stated that they had no issues with anyone.
