The Winchester High School wrestling team defeated Woburn 46-19 Thursday night. The night started with a ceremony to raise Glen Doherty's name to the rafters.

The Winchester High School wrestling team started their season with a second place finish at the King Philip Wrestling Tournament. Winchester had two champions: Drew Piispanen and Dan McGurl.
Winchester’s win against Woburn on Thursday, along with Belmont’s loss to Reading, solidified the Sachems lead in the Middlesex League.
Winchester was not able to come back and suffered its first loss of the season, 2-1 against Belmont. Winchester is now 10-1-3, but still leads the Middlesex League.
Winchester held a 1-0 lead against a tough Cambridge Rindge and Latin team on Saturday, October 13 for most of game, but Cambridge scored a late goal to salvage a 1-1 tie.
The Boston Globe advertised Thursday's soccer game between Winchester and Reading as one of the games of the week, but Winchester won by the lopsided score of 5-1.
Two undefeated teams walked onto the pitch. 80 minutes later, one undefeated team walked off. Winchester is now the only undefeated team in the Middlesex League, with a record of 9-0-2.

The Winchester Boys Soccer team improved its record to 8-0-2 with its 4-0 victory over Burlington High School on Oct. 4.

At 38 seconds, Marino Espiga passed to Zach Samson who put the ball in the back of the net. No other goals were scored for the rest of the game and Winchester walked away with another 1 point win.

Winchester Boys Varsity Soccer had its highest scoring game of the season with 6 goals against the Arlington Spy Ponders on Saturday, September 28.
