Interfaith Service in Honor of Dr. King

Winchester clergy will once again collaborate to present an interfaith prayer service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This moving service, which will include music by the interfaith choir “Sounds of Grace,” involves the extinguishing of candles, one by one, evoking King’s powerful words “Only when it’s dark enough can you see the stars.  Then the candles will be lit again as passages are read from King’s “Letter from the Birmingham Jail” and his “I Have a Dream Speech.”   All are welcome.
